D.O.A. - Live in 1980

Here's D.O.A. live in 1980 from two different shows. The Toronto show is a soundboard recording and is good quality. The White Noise Tour ep is from a bootleg 7" but I don't know where it was recorded. It sounds like it could be a soundboard recording as well. The interesting thing about both these shows is the unreleased song What'cha Doin' (a.k.a. Chuck's New One) and the rare live version of the rare song Suiciding.

Big Chief - John Peel Session 10-20-91

Big Chief were from Ann Arbor Michigan and were around from 1989 to 1996. Their singer had previously been famous as a member of The Necros from Maumee Ohio. The band got lumped in with the Grunge thing but were so much more interesting than that. They released three excellent CDs and also recorded this Peel Session complete with a Black Flag cover song.

UXA - Part 1 [Illusions of Grandeur LP 1980 + single]

UXA were from San Francisco and started in 1977. In 1979 they had two songs on the Tooth And Nail compilation LP and in 1980 their only LP was released on the Poshboy label. Initially the LP was released in a special limited pressing with 10 songs. When that sold well the LP was remixed and had two songs added. In 1981 they moved to New York City for a while before moving to Los angeles and splitting up. In 1982 De De Detroit formed the De De Detroit Band with some former members of UXA while still performing the odd UXA show. By 1986 De De Detroit was fronting a Metal band under her name. In 1990 the Poshboy label released a UXA single consisting of two old songs from the original band period. During the 1990s De De Detroit got together a new line up of UXA, played around and released some recordings. In 2003 the Miner's Benefit compilation CD that has two UXA tracks recorded live in March 1978 was released.
