The France show is an audience recording and is a bit raw but the energy the band have on this show is well worth the listen. The BBC show is a radio broadcast and is very good sound quality. And even though they are playing songs primarily from the first album there are two guitars so I will assume that Graeme Douglass has joined the band by the time of this recording.

Look forward to listening to the '76 show. Someone, somewhere must have the complete Marquee gig from '76 that was used for the live E.P. and the live tracks on the first album.
ReplyDeleteI would say that you are probably right to state that Graeme Douglas plays on the '77 show as "Still Life" was co written by him. He joined in February '77 but did not play on the first Peel Session (15 February 1977). There is a clip on You Tube of them playing "Get Out Of Denver" at the Rainbow (London)which was Douglas's first or second gig I think. It's professionally shot and I wonder where the rest of the gig is. Can't find a date for this show - cd booklet doesn't state and a quick search of the internet didn't produce anything.
