Years before Punk me and my friends discovered the Runaways. For Christmas in 1975 I asked my mom to buy me the album Kiss Alive. I'd seen it in the record store and thought it looked cool but I'd never heard the music before. When I got my Kiss album on Christmas day me and my brother listened to it and thought it was the greatest thing we'd ever heard. We were only 10 and 11 years old and didn't really know anything about Rock music. But we were fans. In that time every weekend one of us would go shopping with our Grandmother. After shopping she would turn us loose in the record store and we were allowed to buy one record for ourselves. Sometime in 1976 my brother came home with the first Runaways album. We never heard of them before and he said he bought it because there were hot chicks on the cover. It turned out to be a fantastic record that we still listen to today.
The Cleveland show is either a radio broadcast or a soundboard recording and the sound quality is very good. The CBGBs show is an audience recording with good sound quality. The Starwood show is from an old tape of a bootleg album. It was recorded from the audience and the sound quality is good. The Cleveland and New York shows I got in a CD-R trade about 10 years ago.
