Bags - Live Shows 1978-1979

The Bags from Los Angeles were around from 1977 to 1981 and in that time only released a single in 1978 on Dangerhouse Records and had one song on a Dangerhouse compilation LP besides making an appearance in the film The Decline Of Western Civilization in 1980. Until the All Bagged Up album was released in 2007 all the bags we had to listen to, besides the single, was just a couple of live tapes that made the rounds. The Masque show is the only complete set ever in circulation and it was recorded from the audience so the quality is rough but listenable especially for the unreleased songs. The Hong Kong Cafe show is much better in quality and a good listen but still recorded from the audience. The Troubadour show is off of a video and is rough also but still fun to listen to.

Eddie & The Hotrods - Rehearsal 1977 + Antonio's, Pittsburgh 11-21-77

Here's more Eddie & The Hotrods. The rehearsal features the original line up and all these songs ended up on their first album. The quality is good but there is a lot of tape hiss. The Pittsburgh show was recorded on their first U.S. Tour and has Graeme Douglas in the line up. It was recorded from the audience and is a bit rough but sounds like it was a great show.

Here's a nice Blondie radio broadcast from before they went disco on us. The most incredible thing about this show is the cover songs they play at the end especially the Runaways song. You've never heard Blondie rock so hard before. The quality is great.

Curvettes - Demo (2003)

Here's a relatively recent band who were from New York City. Musically they fit in with Devil Dogs and New Bomb Turks. I have no info on them and only know of them because a friend who auditioned for them after the drummer on this demo left was given this demo to listen to. Doesn't seem they ever settled on a new drummer and ultimately disappeared from the face of the earth leaving only this demo behind. It's a great one though.
